NOTES: 

1.  Students losing eligibility have a 7 day calendar Grace Period. 

2.  Students who regain eligibility also have a 7 day calendar “waiting” period.

3.  Eligibility is lost or regained on the following “Friday” at the end of the school day…except on   weeks involving weeklong or more holidays.

4.  Dropping a class with a failing grade after the 4th week of class into the course causes the student to lose eligibility for the next 3 school weeks…evaluation period. (UIL Side by Side p. 5)

5.  SBOE identifies certain advanced courses (AP, Pre-AP, dual/concurrent enrollment classes  in ELA, Math, Science, SS, Economics or languages other than English listed in the “Lower-Division Academic Course Guide Manual”) eligible for consideration for eligibility waivers.  Waivers at LFCISD will be considered for a grade of a 60 and above.  Students can use the waiver one time per semester per course.

6.  EVERYONE CAN PARTICIPATE DURING HOLIDAY WEEKS REGARDLESS OF ELIGIBILITY STATUS!!!  (UIL Side by Side p. 3).

7.  In the event 2 of 3 school weeks are shortened, one of the shortened weeks (which must consist of at least 3 school days) maybe counted as 5 days with 10 other actual class days making up the 15 class days.  (UIL Side by Side p. 21).
